Public record integrity

Corrections

Capitol IQ accepts correction requests for specific public records and source-backed claims. Requests do not automatically change an official fact: each submission remains evidence-bound and subject to governed review.

Start from the affected record

Open the Candidate, election, office, or Jurisdiction record that needs attention and use its correction link. That link binds the request to the exact public record and preserves the review context.

What happens next

A correction request creates no publication eligibility and is never treated as approval by silence. Official-source evidence, identity bindings, and prior audit history remain intact while the request is reviewed.
